Live MVPFounder & product analytics (solo build)

Vyser

A live marketplace for paid 1:1 video advice calls. I built it solo, starting from conversations about how people actually go about finding someone worth asking. It now handles booking, sessions, reviews, earnings, and an AI layer for prep and notes.

Discovery Work

Research Before Building

I spent the first stretch talking to people instead of writing code. I wanted to know how founders and operators currently find tactical advice, what they pay for it, and where they stop trusting the process. The MVP scope came out of those conversations.

Customer Discovery

Asked founders, operators, and business owners how they currently find tactical advice, and what they had paid for it.

Market Research

Looked at existing expert marketplaces, coaching platforms, and paid advisory calls, and where each one loses people.

Interview Learning

Used what came back to cut the category list, add session context, and decide the AI layer was worth building.

Product Experience

Both Sides Of The Marketplace

Customer Discovery

The roadmap follows what came out of customer conversations, not a feature list I wrote up front.

Expert Discovery

Seekers browse experts by category, specialty, price, rating, and availability before they book.

1:1 Booking Flow

Paid video sessions between seekers and experts, with session context and scheduling handled inside the booking flow.

AI Support Layer

Notes, pre-meeting prep, suggested questions, and a post-meeting summary, so a 30-minute call is still useful a month later.

Marketplace Operations

Expert dashboards for sessions, reviews, availability, and earnings, so the supply side has a reason to stay.

My Role

What I Owned

I'm not publishing marketplace numbers here, so this covers the product surface and the work behind it rather than traction.

  • The customer discovery and interviews the product direction came from
  • Positioning across seekers, experts, and advice categories
  • The full-stack marketplace, both the seeker and the expert side
  • Mobile-first expert discovery and profile flows
  • Booking, session, review, and dashboard surfaces
  • The AI layer: notes, prep, suggested questions, and follow-up
